Sankalpa — Setting Sacred Intention
The ritual begins with sankalpa — a solemn vow or intention. This is the foundation upon which the entire anushthan is built, aligning the practitioner's consciousness with the desired outcome.
From the lanes of India's heartland to the grand halls of decision-makers, Vishal Foundation has emerged as a force of transformation — rooted in Sanatana Dharma, reaching the farthest corners of modern society.
"May all beings be happy. May all be free from illness. May all see what is auspicious. May no one suffer."
Vishal Foundation was born out of a deeply personal journey. A brother's love. A family's pain. And the fierce determination of one man — Sh. Vicky Singh Dasaundhi — who refused to let society remain indifferent.
Our founder and president, Sh. Vicky Singh Dasaundhi, witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by his younger brother, Vishal, who has Down Syndrome. The struggles, discrimination, and indifference of society ignited a fire within him to create a change.
In response, Vishal Foundation was officially established in 2020, with the mission of uplifting not just children with Down Syndrome — but every marginalized and neglected section of society.
We believe in selfless service — working tirelessly to create a world where everyone gets the dignity they deserve.
Ours is not merely an organization; it is a movement. A testament to the undying spirit of service, love, and justice. We are the architects of change, the bearers of a torch passed down by the sages, the visionaries, the warriors of light.

Every volunteer, mentor, donor, and supporter is an important part of the Vishal Foundation family. Together, we are building a future where compassion, dignity, and service remain at the heart of society.
In a world that often celebrates perfection, there exists a community of the most innocent souls, children born with Down Syndrome, who are frequently met with misunderstanding, neglect, and even cruelty. Their journey, and that of their families, is a testament to a silent struggle fought every day in the heart of India.
The inspiration behind "The Vishal Hope" is our founder's younger brother, Vishal. He is the life of the family — a beacon of unconditional love and pure joy. He also has Down Syndrome.
Growing up, the family witnessed the harsh realities these special children face at every turn. The lack of basic infrastructure, even in premier institutions, was appalling. Access to quality medical care, inclusive education, and social acceptance felt like an insurmountable battle.
They saw so-called "special schools" where children, as innocent and gentle as Vishal, were subjected to unimaginable treatment — beaten, and stripped of their dignity. Our hearts broke, and our spirits raged. How could a society, so rich in its cultural and spiritual heritage, be so callous towards its most vulnerable?
It was in those moments of shared pain and helplessness that a resolve was forged: we would not let this continue. Thus, "The Vishal Hope" was born.
Down Syndrome is a naturally occurring chromosomal arrangement in humans, resulting from an extra 21st chromosome. This additional genetic material alters the course of development and causes the characteristics associated with Down Syndrome. It is not a disease or an illness; it is a part of a person's genetic makeup.
Individuals with Down Syndrome often have a distinct physical appearance, some level of intellectual disability, and may face certain health challenges. However, it is crucial to remember that every individual with Down Syndrome is unique, with their own strengths, talents, and a vast potential waiting to be unlocked.
Down Syndrome is a naturally occurring chromosomal arrangement in humans, resulting from an extra 21st chromosome. It is not a disease or an illness — it is a part of a person's genetic makeup. The challenges faced by individuals with Down Syndrome in India are backed by sobering statistics that paint a picture of neglect and systemic failure.
At "The Vishal Hope," we are committed to a holistic approach to support children with Down Syndrome and their families. Our work is categorized into six key domains.
We facilitate access to essential medical care, including early diagnosis, regular health check-ups, and necessary surgical interventions, particularly for cardiac ailments. We partner with hospitals and medical professionals to provide subsidized or free treatment for underprivileged families.
We believe that every child has the right to education. We are working towards establishing model inclusive learning centers with a curriculum tailored to the needs of children with Down Syndrome. We also focus on training teachers and caregivers to provide a nurturing and effective learning environment.
Early intervention is key to unlocking the potential of children with Down Syndrome. We provide access to a range of therapies, including speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy, to aid in their cognitive and physical development.
We envision a future where individuals with Down Syndrome can lead lives of dignity and self-reliance. Our programs focus on vocational training and skill development in areas where they can excel, paving the way for meaningful employment opportunities.
We are dedicated to changing the narrative around Down Syndrome in India. Through public campaigns, workshops, and community engagement, we aim to dispel myths, foster empathy, and advocate for the rights and inclusion of individuals with Down Syndrome at all levels of society.
We understand that the journey of raising a child with Down Syndrome can be emotionally and financially taxing. We provide counseling, support groups, and a sense of community for families, assuring them that they are not alone in their struggle.
Every day, ordinary people do extraordinary things — without recognition, without reward, often without anyone even knowing. The Society Awards exists to change that.
We seek out those whose contributions would fade into obscurity without recognition. We provide them with the means to continue their noble endeavors — financial aid, mentorship, opportunities.
We honor them in a grand assembly, where their struggles and triumphs are given the ovation they deserve. This initiative has already impacted hundreds of lives, providing deserving individuals with the resources, connections, and financial aid they need to continue their journey.
Our commitment to the unsung extends from Olympic athletes who lack financial support, to the families of martyred soldiers facing neglect, to grassroots activists who change their communities with nothing but courage and conviction.
When bureaucracy sought to erase the legacy of Shaheed Hemraj Ji, we stood as sentinels — restoring his family's rightful place, securing his children's future, ensuring his sacrifice would never be forgotten by the nation he gave his life for.
When darkness threatened to consume Kumari Pushpa's dreams, we became her light — ensuring her surgeries, her education, and her ascent in the world of weightlifting. She now competes at national level and carries the hopes of thousands like her.
Someone who has given everything for others, and received nothing in return? Help us find them.

An anushthan is a systematic, structured spiritual practice — a precise sequence of rituals performed with specific mantras, offerings, and intent over a defined period. In the Vedic tradition, these are among the most powerful tools for invoking divine grace and clearing obstacles from one's path.
Under the guidance of our experienced acharyas, who carry more than 20 years of expertise in Vedic karmakanda, we conduct anushthans tailored to specific life challenges — from unresolved grief and broken relationships to stalled careers and chronic illness.
These are not superstition. These are technologies of consciousness, refined over millennia, encoded in the Vedas and Tantras, and passed down through unbroken lineages.
